What is a Screen Protector and Installation? A Cellphone Screen Protector is a thin transparent layer of about 1mm-1.70mm and made of plastic. It helps protect your phone’s LCD screen form dings, scratches and cracks. They come in different shapes, styles, strength and durability. The various types include: a. Commuter It is a bit thinner with a smooth body. They are long lasting and are made up of three layers. These trio-layered patterns are to help provide an excellent protection for phones. b. Defender They are durable and offer a very good protection for screens. They are also trio-layered. Inner layer is made of a slim silicone film and this helps protect the screen. c. Privacy It is the thickest of the Cellphone Screen Protector and helps to give your LCD screen the best protection. They also darken out your LCD screen when looking at it from a particular angle. This is to protect it from unauthorized viewing and hence the name ‘privacy’. How to install a Cellphone Screen Protector The screen has three layers, with tab #1 and #2 made up of a thin transparent plastic layer. 1. Wipe dirty particles, dust and debris away from your phone. This helps to ensure that it does not create air bubbles on your screen protector. 2. Remove the tab marked #1(usually a thin transparent layer made of plastic) and then align the screen protector with your phone. Make sure it fits as perfect as possible. 3. Then apply the screen protector on your phone in a gentle manner. Apply it from the top to the bottom or from bottom to the top using a scratch card, cardboard or credit card. Note: Do not sweep from the centre outwards. This will create air bubbles. 4. Peel off the tab labeled #2. This tab is also a thin transparent plastic layer. With this, your phone protected and you can be assured of a longer lasting screen life for your phone.
